Vanderbilt Business offers a range of specialized master’s programs designed for recent college graduates who want to propel their careers forward. Each program requires a year or less of coursework and gives you the skills, the credential, and the connections you need to walk into that first job already moving.
Choose from the Vanderbilt MS Finance, MS Marketing, Master of Accountancy, or Master of Management.
MS Finance
In less than a year, you’re moving markets. This accelerated, STEM-designated program runs nine months, and you can concentrate in investment banking, investment management, financial analytics, or general finance. You get one-on-one career coaching and a global network of finance alumni. You’ll also train in a city where capital is pouring in: AllianceBernstein moved its headquarters from New York to Nashville, while private equity and venture firms are continuing to open more offices here. Ninety-eight percent of graduates are employed within three months of graduation.
MS Marketing
Nine months and you’re building brands. You’ll learn the full marketing toolkit — from strategy to tactics — in a STEM-designated curriculum with deep-dive immersions matched to your career goals. And you’ll do it in Music City, where Sony Music, Universal Music Group, the Country Music Association, the Tennessee Titans, and the Nashville Predators are all part of the neighborhood. If a career in sports is your goal, a dual degree partnership with the Real Madrid Graduate School lets you earn a second master’s in Sports Marketing Strategy.
Master of Accountancy
One year puts you in the room with the Big Four and beyond. This 12-month program is designed for graduates of any major. It includes a structured career search with Big Four partner firms, and CPA prep is part of the curriculum. On the Assurance track, graduates see 100% employment. The Valuation track is one of the only programs that combines accounting and finance, and its pass rates for the CPA and CFA Level I exams are among the highest in the country.
Master of Management
One year out of undergrad and you’ll be ready to lead. This nine-month program gives you the core foundation of a business education: financial accounting, managerial finance, marketing, operations, strategic management, and team leadership. You can concentrate in consulting, entrepreneurship, healthcare, operations and analytics, or general management. And you’ll get your degree from a university that doesn’t just turn out top business leaders, it mints successful entrepreneurs. Stanford research found that venture-backed Vanderbilt founders were twice as likely as founders from other universities to build unicorn startups.
